ACTIVITIES
The activities of the Board are diverse and range from imparting education in alternative medicines through classroom training and distance education schemes to running a mobile treatment unit for the benefit of the needy masses in rural and remote areas.
| Hands on Practical Training |
A special feature of the Board's varied activities are its monthly intensive practical training sessions in clinical and alternative medicine. Hands on training is provided to the students at the Board' s treatment center at which they are also given the opportunity to interact with all kinds of patients under the guidance of a team of dedicated and experienced professionals. Subject like case history, examination of the patient, procedures of interpreting laboratory & radiography examinations are included.
| Special arrangements for foreign Students |
The Board has a number of students from overseas and special arrangement are made for foreign students. Courses are especially designed to suit their requirements with durations ranging from 3 days to 6 months or more as per their convenience. Boarding and lodging is also arranged for such students as are sight seeing tours, excursions and the like. All aspects of their stay are taken into consideration and every effort is made to make it a pleasant, positive and enlightening experience.
| Social Welfare |
Social welfare has always been a priority of the Board and in its own humble way, it strives to render humanitarian services to the best of its ability. Charitable clinics and camps are organized on a regular basis. Free distribution of medicines and necessities amongst slum dwellers, rendering of assistance both in cash and kind to victims of flood, fire and other calamities is undertaken with enthusiasm and compassion.

The Board has a dynamic and devoted research team committed to discovering and exploring new trends in the field of alternative medicine.
| Publications |
Publication of books, periodicals and newsletters are another important activity of the Board. It publishes a monthly newsletter containing a number of interesting new articles and new items on alternative medicine, the latest trends and developments. A variety of alternative medical instruments, equipment and books are available at the Board.
| Directory |
The Board is all set to publish a Directory of individual practitioners and institutions. The Directory will also provide information on training and treatment centers, research institutions and associations, manufacturers of alternative medical equipment and publishers. Interested persons/organizations are invited to send their profiles to the Board.

The Board is constantly engaged in enrolling alternative medical practitioners in and attempt to provide all such practitioners a common platform to safeguard their interests and voice their concerns. The Board's membership is the largest of any organization of its kind in India.
