EVENTS
The conferences organized by the Board are occasions at which leading alternative medical luminaries from all over the world assemble under one roof. They are indeed landmark events and the Board has successfully organized seven international and thirteen national conferences since its inception in 1991.
Emminent practitioners, doctors and health workers from all over the nation and from countries such as U.S.A.,U.K., Australia, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland, South Africa, Brazil, Peru, Hong Kong, and neighboring countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan actively participated in them. Dignitaries and renowned persons from all walks of life also attended as did students and lay people.
The conferences were supported by the UN,WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, Commonwealth Secretariat, and the international personalities like the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Office of the President of South Africa, President & Vice President of India to mention but a few.
Besides the lectures and presentations an important aspect of the conferences are the Awards Presentation Ceremony. Dedicated practitioners from all over the world are recommended through the presentation of awards for their contributions and achievements.
During its past conferences, the Board acknowledged the support of a number of celebrated persons by awarding them its highest honour - the Seva Chakra. Prominent recipients include Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Lama Gangchen, President of the World Peace Foundation of Italy, Dr. Robert Mullar, Chancellor U.N. Peace University and Ms. Chris Griscom (U.S.A.), Founder of the Nizhoni School for Global Consciousness, the Light Institute of Galisteo and the Sanctuary of Light.
The Board Regularly conducts workshops, seminars and exhibitions on the different complementary medical therapies, traditional medicine and holistic healing in general.
The Board is scheduled to hold its 11th International Congress on 10th & 11th January at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Calcutta Hotel (5 star) Calcutta. World renowned practitioners are expected to attend and it is anticipated that the forthcoming Congress will be even greater success.
